Volleyball Game Preview: Olmsted Falls Bulldogs vs. Magnificat Blue Streaks

The Olmsted Falls Bulldogs will challenge the Magnificat Blue Streaks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Olmsted Falls comes in on 12 and Magnificat on five.

Olmsted Falls is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Hoover.

Olmsted Falls had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 25-22, 25-18.

Hudson typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Magnificat proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Explorers.

Magnificat walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-17.

Olmsted Falls' win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Magnificat, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 21-4.

Olmsted Falls beat Magnificat 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2020. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Blue Streaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
