Baseball Recap: Trinity Valley Trojans vs. Mansfield Homeschool Knights

If Trinity Valley was feeling good off their 14-3 takedown of Cistercian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trinity Valley Trojans suffered a rough 13-4 loss at the hands of the Mansfield Homeschool Knights on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Trinity Valley of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

For Mansfield Homeschool's part, Gedeon Bring looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks). Bring has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Ashton Widmer was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, a triple, and a double. Hudson Miller was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
