Football Recap: North Surry Piles Up the Points Against Surry Central + How To Watch

After only eight points in their last game, North Surry made sure to put some points up on the board against Surry Central on Friday. The Greyhounds claimed a resounding 42-15 victory over the Golden Eagles. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Zamarri Sweatman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 294 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 120.4 rushing yards per game. David Schuyler was another key player, rushing for 75 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Surry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 451 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

North Surry didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Damarcus McClure and Jaxton Turney.

North Surry's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for Surry Central, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
