Baseball Recap: St. John's Prep's Loss Ends 17-Game Winning Streak at Home

St. John's Prep faced Xaverian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Red Storm fell 6-2 to the Clippers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Storm of the 16-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

St. John's Prep's defeat ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Xaverian, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, St. John's Prep will head out on the road to challenge St. Mary's at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Xaverian, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Holy Cross on the 2nd.
