Baseball Recap: High Point Baptist Academy Find Success

High Point Baptist Academy never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Southeastern HomeSchool on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Southeastern HomeSchool Cardinals 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 10, 2024.

Landon Richard was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Colton Swenson, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The win got High Point Baptist Academy back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High Point Baptist Academy will venture away from home to take on East Columbus at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Southeastern HomeSchool, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against South Wake at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Southeastern HomeSchool is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
