Volleyball Recap: Diman RVT Comes Up Short

Diman RVT managed to slip by Westport the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bengals lost 3-0 to the Wildcats on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bengals have suffered against the Wildcats since March 31, 2021.

Diman RVT was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Westport work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 29-27.

Kara Rego paced Diman RVT's offense, picking up ten kills. Rego got some help from Abigael Lavoie and her ten assists. Lavoie was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Diman RVT now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Westport, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Diman RVT will challenge Bristol County Agricultural at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westport, they will face off against Calvary Chapel Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
