Preview: Northside Grizzlies vs. Bentonville Tigers

Northside is 8-2 against Bentonville since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northside Grizzlies will head out on the road to square off against the Bentonville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Northside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 552 points over their last nine games.

Last Tuesday, Northside didn't have too much trouble with Rogers at home as they won 70-53. Given Northside's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while Rogers is ranked 49th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Erianna Gooden continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Northside's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hazley Grotjohn, who scored 16 points along with three steals.

Meanwhile, Bentonville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 65-31 victory over Bentonville West at home. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Bentonville with their most commanding win of the season.

Northside's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3. As for Bentonville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Northside strolled past Bentonville in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 57-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
