Glenvar and James River are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Highlanders will face off against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Glenvar had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Radford on Friday. The Highlanders never let the Bobcats get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Highlanders sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask James River). They blew past Patrick Henry 18-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won seven in a row.

Glenvar pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for James River, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Glenvar skirted past James River 9-7 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
