Basketball Recap: Christian Ministries Academy Comes Up Short

Christian Ministries Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Warriors, falling 54-28. The Conquerors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 47-44.

Trinity Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyleigh Purtle out in front who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Dougan, who put up 19 points.

Christian Ministries Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Trinity Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Gospel Light Christian the next time they take the court. Christian Ministries Academy will host Gospel Light Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Trinity Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th.
