Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Comes Up Short

Cumberland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Amelia County Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Cumberland's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Amelia County, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cumberland will challenge rival Randolph-Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Amelia County is set to face off against their familiar foe Buckingham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
