Baseball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 8-4 to the Burncoat Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 17-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

Luigi Villegas made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kenny Arpin, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

Bartlett's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Burncoat, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Bartlett will head out to face off against South at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Burncoat, they will host Keefe Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
