Softball Game Preview: New Haven Bulldogs vs. Adams Central Flying Jets

The New Haven Bulldogs will challenge the Adams Central Flying Jets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for New Haven and six for Adams Central.

Monday just wasn't the day for New Haven's offense. They came up short against Bellmont on Monday, falling 11-0.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Adams Central was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They lost 12-0 to Central Noble.

New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Adams Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

New Haven's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Bulldogs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Adams Central, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will New Haven continue to outrun the ball?

New Haven suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Adams Central when the teams last played back in May of 2018. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
