Soccer Game Preview: Brooks vs. Wilson

The Brooks Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Wilson Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brooks has given up an average of 4.9 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Brooks faced off against Mars Hill Bible on Thursday. The Lions lost 10-0 to the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for Brooks in their meetings with Mars Hill Bible: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilson). They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Haleyville on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Wilson with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Wilson and bumps their season record up to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those two matchups. As for Brooks, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Brooks skirted past Wilson 1-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
