Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, McConnellsburg's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Shalom Christian Academy.

McConnellsburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-22, 25-19, 25-12.

McConnellsburg's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Everett, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything went Everett's way against McConnellsburg in their previous meeting back in August, as Everett made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
