Volleyball Recap: Marist Snags 16th Victory in Last 17 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Marist walked away with it. They didn't even let the Fremd Vikings on the board on Friday, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. The RedHawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Marist has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-5 record this season. As for Fremd, with the loss, they broke their nine-match winning streak and moved their record to 31-8.

Marist and Fremd are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The RedHawks will challenge Benet Academy at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fremd, they will square off against Lockport at 7:25 p.m. on Saturday.
