Basketball Recap: Southeastern Comes Up Short

Southeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the Zane Trace Pioneers. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 36-25.

Southeastern's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Zane Trace, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13.

Southeastern will face off against Huntington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Zane Trace has already played their next contest (against Piketon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
