Basketball Recap: Xenia Comes Up Short

Xenia suffered their biggest loss since December 30, 2025 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 73-44 loss at the hands of the Tippecanoe Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while the Red Devils are ranked 118th).

Xenia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Tippecanoe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Xenia will square off against rival West Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tippecanoe is set to face off against their familiar foe Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
