Basketball Recap: Mt. Blue Takes a Loss

Mt. Blue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by the Cony Rams 88-17. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Rams are ranked third).

Mt. Blue's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Cony, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Blue will face off against Nokomis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Blue is facing Nokomis at the right time seeing as Nokomis is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cony, they will square off against Gardiner at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
