Baseball Game Preview: Bloomington Bruins vs. Grand Terrace Titans

For the second straight game, Bloomington will face off against Grand Terrace. The Bruins will head out to take on the Titans at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Bloomington has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 26.

Bloomington fell victim to Grand Terrace and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Robert Bliss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Bloomington is 5-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-9 otherwise.

Grand Terrace has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Bloomington, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
