Football Recap: Cocoa Comes Up Short

Cocoa played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Norland Vikings, falling 28-6. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Cocoa and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Norland, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Cocoa will be playing in front of their home fans against Apopka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Blue Darters' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Norland, they will head out on the road to square off against American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
