Basketball Recap: Tuscola Comes Up Short

Tuscola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 63-51 to the Madison Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-45 back in November.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Madison to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brady Mcdevitt, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points and six boards. Those 16 points gave Mcdevitt a new career-high. Gavin Gault was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Tuscola's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Madison, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4.

Coming up, Tuscola will host Owen at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mountaineers will be up against the Warhorses' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Madison, they are taking a road trip to square off against Enka at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Jets have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
