Basketball Game Preview: Spring Valley Grizzlies vs. Silverado Skyhawks

Spring Valley is on a three-game streak of home losses, Silverado a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Spring Valley Grizzlies will host the Silverado Skyhawks at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are at an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2018, but likely not for long.

Last Tuesday, Spring Valley was beaten by Durango 75-39. The game marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Silverado played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They secured a 64-60 W over Arbor View. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Skyhawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Aggies are ranked seventh).

Silverado's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Spring Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Things could have been worse for Spring Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-57 loss to Silverado in their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
