Baseball Game Preview: Hanceville Bulldogs vs. Curry Yellowjackets

Hanceville is 1-7 against Curry since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hanceville Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Curry Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. Neither Hanceville nor Curry posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Hanceville lost 8-1 to Ashville. Hanceville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Curry suffered their closest loss since April 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Carbon Hill by a score of 4-2.

Curry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kameron Miles, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double. That double marked the first that Miles' hit this season. Ethan Acosta was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Curry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Hanceville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Hanceville took their victory against Curry in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 19-12. Does Hanceville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Curry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
