Basketball Recap: Hanover Comes Up Short

Hanover was the 62-52 winner over Duxbury when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hanover Hawks took a 75-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Duxbury Dragons on Friday.

Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Duxbury, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6.

Hanover and Duxbury could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. Hanover (ranked 78th) will meet Marshfield (ranked 12th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Duxbury will challenge North Quincy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 117 places (133 vs. 16).
