After losing to Fort Dorchester the last time they met, James Island decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The James Island Trojans managed a 48-43 win over the Fort Dorchester Patriots on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead James Island to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Ward, who posted ten points and five assists. Matthew Gladden was another key player, going 7 for 10 en route to 14 points and six boards.

James Island smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Dorchester only pulled down four offensive boards.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Dorchester lost, don't look at Jaden Polite. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 11 on his way to 16 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maricious Dawson, who scored 11 points.

James Island has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Fort Dorchester, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Island has already played their next game (against Ashley Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fort Dorchester is taking a road trip to face off against Stall at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stall is on a four-game streak of home losses, Fort Dorchester a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change.
