Basketball Game Preview: Wrightstown Tigers vs. Waupaca Comets

The Wrightstown Tigers will square off against the Waupaca Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Wrightstown and eight for Waupaca.

Wrightstown is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since January 14, 2025 on Monday. They fell just short of Sheboygan Falls by a score of 52-49.

Meanwhile, Waupaca took a blow against New London on Tuesday, falling 85-46. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 100th).

Wrightstown's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Waupaca, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Wrightstown didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Waupaca in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
