Softball Recap: Unionville Comes Up Short

Unionville suffered their closest defeat since March 10th on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Coatesville Red Raiders by a score of 4-2. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Cambrie Bouchard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Unionville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Coatesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Unionville will face off against rival Sun Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Coatesville is set to challenge their familiar foe East at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Raiders 3.6, the Vikings 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
