Softball Recap: West Marshall's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

West Marshall had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Perry Bluejays a 10-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their two-run performance the game before.

West Marshall's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

West Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-5 win against Greene County on the 6th. As for Perry, they have also already played their next match, a 10-3 victory against South Hamilton on the 6th.
