Volleyball Game Preview: Vista Ridge Wolves vs. Pueblo West Cyclones

Vista Ridge hasn't had much luck against Pueblo West recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolves will welcome the Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Vista Ridge needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight matches and they got it from Toryn Dempsey. The Wolves had just enough and edged out Liberty 3-2 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Dempsey, who had 34 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Vista Ridge wouldn't go down easily and took Liberty into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-21, 21-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Pueblo West got the win against Liberty on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Cyclones haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Pueblo West walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-14.

Pueblo West's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Vista Ridge, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-9.
