Baseball Recap: South Stokes Comes Up Short

South Stokes lost against Mount Airy last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. South Stokes fell just short of Mount Airy by a score of 4-3. The Sauras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Stokes saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameryn Phipps, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

South Stokes now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Mount Airy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Stokes is set to square off against their familiar foe East Wilkes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mount Airy will face off against rival Starmount at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
