Recap: Lone Peak Knights vs. Skyridge Falcons
On Tuesday, the Lone Peak Knights faced the Skyridge Falcons in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lone Peak blew past Skyridge 69-30 at home. Lone Peak has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.
Lone Peak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sarah Bartholomew led the charge by scoring 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawnee Nordstrom, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Lone Peak now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Skyridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lone Peak will take on American Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. American Fork will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Lone Peak is ranked fourth). As for Skyridge, they will be playing at home against Lehi at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lehi focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
