Basketball Recap: Northwest Christian Takes a Loss

Northwest Christian won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 82-36 loss at the hands of the Summit Classical Christian School Archers. The Wolverines have struggled against the Archers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Summit Classical Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Simon led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards. The match was Simon's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jake Gledhill, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds.

Northwest Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Summit Classical Christian School, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Christian will square off against Quilcene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they and Puget Sound Adventist will face off at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Summit Classical Christian School is facing Puget Sound Adventist at the right time seeing as Puget Sound Adventist is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
