Basketball Recap: Maypearl Comes Up Short

Maypearl lost against Keene back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maypearl Panthers took a 62-45 bruising from the Keene Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1267th, while the Chargers are ranked 550th).

Maypearl has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 17 of their last 20 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-24 record this season. As for Keene, they moved to 17-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Maypearl will be playing at home against Grandview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Keene, they are taking a road trip to face off against Blooming Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
