Basketball Recap: La Grange Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, La Grange rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sealy Tigers, sneaking past 68-65. This was payback for the Leopards, who suffered a 40-37 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kylie Trlicek continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 21 points along with six steals and five assists. She has become a key player for La Grange: the team is 20-6 when she posts at least three steals, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Landri Hernandez, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

La Grange is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for Sealy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-8.

La Grange has already played their next match (against Salado), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sealy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
