Volleyball Recap: Southport Comes Up Short

Southport and Perry Meridian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Southport had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in April.

Southport has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-15 record this season. As for Perry Meridian, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-5.

Southport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perry Meridian, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Roncalli on the 17th.
