Softball Recap: Fort Wayne Wayne Generals vs. Fort Wayne North Side Legends
Fort Wayne Wayne extended their losing streak to seven on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 1-13 in the process. They fell 11-6 to the Fort Wayne North Side Legends. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Legends apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Faith Couture made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
Fort Wayne North Side's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
On Fort Wayne North Side's side, Cadee Ross made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk).
