Clovis took down Carlsbad 66-39 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kamal Cass ran for 145 yards during the win.
The Wildcats made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,895 from 2,479. The advance stemmed from a 66-39 victory over the Cavemen last week.
Rodney Holcon threw for 178 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Cass was the best running back in 5A District 4 this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 145 yards as Clovis fell to Clovis. Teammate Shaprie Bryant added to the ground attack by rushing for 118 yards.
6-foot-5 quarterback Holcon of Ron Arrington's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,763. He has also thrown 21 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Travon Sopila. The Clovis star has 17 catches for 469 yards.
Eric Roanhaus' team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 66 points on the Cavemen. Cass in the win.
