Softball Recap: Lake Forest Falls Short Against Ranked Laurel

Lake Forest faced Laurel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Spartans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-4. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lake Forest fell to 17-1. As for Laurel, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Looking ahead, Lake Forest will be playing in front of their home fans against Milford at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Laurel, they will take on Middletown at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
