Baseball Recap: Shawnee Falls Short of Roger Bacon in the Playoffs

Shawnee and Roger Bacon squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Shawnee had to settle for second. They fell 7-2 to the Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-2 loss on Saturday.

Shawnee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Ross, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Roger Bacon, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Spartans beat Shawnee by a score of 7-2 later that day.
