Basketball Recap: Jacksonville Gets the Win

Jacksonville pushed their score to 58 the last time they played Lanphier, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. The Jacksonville Crimsons escaped with a win against the Lanphier Lions by the margin of a single free throw, 1-0. The one-point effort marked the Crimsons' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jacksonville's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Lanphier, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7.

When Jacksonville and Lanphier next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Jacksonville will try to stop Glenwood's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jacksonville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. Similarly, Lanphier will face off against Rochester and their seven-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
