Basketball Recap: Lenoir City Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Lenoir City Panthers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to the Elizabethtown Panthers.

Lenoir City has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Elizabethtown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lenoir City will take on Upperman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Upperman will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Lenoir City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Elizabethtown, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Nelson County at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
