Heart of the Plains (8 Man) recap September 10, 2013

Jacob Norris and Lucas Lohrman provided fans with a highlight when they connected against South Haven. The connection went for 76 yards, the longest such play in Heart of the Plains (8 Man) this season.

Tristin Paulsen of Stafford ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Central Plains last week. Paulsen's team fell to the Oilers as he sprinted for 65 yards on the play and finished with 171 in all.

Cale Goebel was the best wideout in the league this week as Norwich lost to the Cardinals. Goebel racked up 9 receptions for 113 yards.

Dustin Weber was the most successful running back in Heart of the Plains (8 Man) this week. In 26 carries, he ran for 206 yards as Skyline fell to South Haven. Cole Patterson also contributed to the rushing game with 36 yards on the ground.

Derek McClure threw for 134 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 7-13 with 1 interceptions.

McClure put up the best numbers through the air as Stafford lost to Central Plains. McClure's favorite target this week was Ethan Johnson, who caught 3 passes for 84 yards.

Norris was a passing and rushing force as Norwich fell to David Hughes' team. He completed 13 passes for 255 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 86 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Lucas Schroeder's team's Norris and Goebel have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Norris has thrown for 255 yards this season, while Goebel has 9 catches for 113 yards. Weber from the Thunderbirds leads the league in rushing with 206 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Fairfield takes on Pretty Prairie. As it stands, the Falcons are in third, while the Bulldogs are in second.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Fairfield takes on Pretty Prairie. Lee Odell's team has allowed 0 points this season, while C.T. Young's team has given up 14.

The Falcons took down Burrton 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
