Football Recap: Oliver Ames Comes Up Short

Oliver Ames lost against Foxborough back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers were beaten by the Warriors 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Warriors are ranked 16th).

This is the second loss in a row for Oliver Ames and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Foxborough, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oliver Ames is set to face off against their familiar foe Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Foxborough will challenge rival Canton at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Warriors 12.8, the Bulldogs 8.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
