Volleyball Recap: Etowah Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home + How To Watch

Etowah proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Norcross Blue Devils 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since September 12, 2024.

Etowah had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 26-24, 18-16.

Mianna Brown paced Etowah's offense, picking up nine kills. Brown got some help from Kayla Harman and her 20 assists. Eden McVay and Shiloh Braddick kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Norcross' loss came despite strong showings from Grayson Taylor and Valentina Casagrande. Taylor had 18 digs and three aces, while Casagrande had eight digs and two aces.

Etowah's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Norcross, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coincidentally, Etowah and Norcross will both be playing West Forsyth the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
