Basketball Recap: Crossroads Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Crossroads Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Mesick Bulldogs and fell 60-13. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 70-26 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Crossroads Charter Academy lost, don't look at Coulter Kasbohm. Despite the final result, he posted five points and eight rebounds.

Mesick's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Abraham, who put up 16 points. Jaeden Simpson was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Crossroads Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mesick, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Crossroads Charter Academy will host West Michigan Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mesick, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-48 defeat against Grand Traverse Academy on the 9th.
