Juab and Emery are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Juab Wasps will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Emery Spartans at 3:30 p.m. Juab is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Juab came up short against Manti on Friday, falling 11-1.

Madi Blankenagel was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Emery can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Hurricane 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since May 11, 2024.

Kallee Lake spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Katelyn Nielson was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kali Jensen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Emery's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Juab, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Emery's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Juab has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .484. It's a different story for Emery, though, as they've only averaged .344. Will they be able to contain Juab's hitters?

Juab might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Emery when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Juab avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
