Volleyball Recap: Mosley Takes a Loss

If Mosley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Arnold on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dolphins took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Venice Indians on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dolphins of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2020.

Venice was led to victory by Amelia Anselmi and Madi Robinson. Anselmi had 19 assists and four digs, while Robinson had five digs and two aces. Anselmi has been hot, having posted 17 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Mosley's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Venice, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-9.

Mosley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Horizon on the 3rd. As for Venice, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Beachside on the 3rd.
