Softball Recap: Cave Spring Knights vs. Pulaski County Cougars
Cave Spring barely beat Pulaski County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights' pitcher stepped up to hand the Cougars an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Caitlyn Karnes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Danica Ogle was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jovie Miller, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
