Basketball Recap: Villa Rica Comes Up Short

Villa Rica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 50-41 to the East Paulding Raiders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-40 back in December of 2024.

Villa Rica's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for East Paulding, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Rome the next time they take the court. Villa Rica will host Rome at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while East Paulding will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
