Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. Ross Rams
The Franklin Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Ross Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Franklin is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Last Tuesday, Franklin earned a 61-52 victory over Bellbrook.
Kai Cook was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with two steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Franklin's points. Another player making a difference was Jace Murphy, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Ross suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Edgewood by a score of 56-53.
Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Ross, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Franklin was able to grind out a solid win over Ross in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 48-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
